# The self-running go-to-market system

Delegate go-to-market goals to AI. Let it plan, execute, ship, learn, and iterate towards results.

Questo is in early access. Join the waitlist with your work email at https://www.questolabs.com/ (no public pricing, no self-serve signup). Read the thesis at https://www.questolabs.com/thesis.md.

## The problem

Our AI tools turn our inputs into outputs. And that's it.

The work around work is still ours to do. We decide the tasks to run. Turn them into prompts. Babysit their execution. Copy the results somewhere. And start from scratch again.

More tasks, outputs, workload. It's not only exhausting. It's an inefficient use of our time.

## The shift

Questo runs the entire loop for you.

Just give it a goal — launch your feature, turn your newsletter into trials, get known on LinkedIn.

It scopes the strategy. Plans the day's work. Executes it autonomously. Ships the outputs. Watches what happens. Learns — and runs again. Every day.

So you can focus on your moat: setting direction, approving plans, and reviewing outcomes.

## The loop

Six stages, run continuously by one Agent: Focus, Plan, Execute, Distribute, Monitor, Iterate.

## 1. Focus — Create go-to-market missions

Name the outcome. Questo builds the mission around it — the objectives, targets, and playbook. Your mission becomes the base for autonomous Agent work.

### 1.1 Missions

A mission is an outcome you want Questo to pursue — book demos from LinkedIn, get trials from your newsletter, launch your next feature. It's how you set direction. Each mission holds a summary, its targets, and a living playbook the Agent works from.

**Motions & campaigns.** A mission takes one of two shapes, set by time — you don't choose it, Questo reads it from whether there's a target date.

| Shape | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| Motion | Always-on — an engine you keep running (thought leadership, outbound, communities) |
| Campaign | Time-boxed to a date — a push with an end (a launch, a market entry) |

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Summary | A short, plain statement of the outcome the mission pursues |
| Targets | 0–3 measurable results or activity targets that prove it's working |
| Playbook | The living strategy the Agent reads before every plan (see 1.2) |
| Channels | The surfaces it runs on — LinkedIn, newsletter, communities… |
| Shape | Motion or campaign — derived from the target date (see above) |
| Label | The funnel stage the outcome spans (awareness, acquisition…) |
| Status | Where it stands — planned, active, done |
| Updates | Daily health and pace against targets (see 5.3) |

### 1.2 Playbook

The playbook is the mission's living strategy — the Agent reads it before every plan and keeps it current as the work moves. It turns your summary into a concrete approach: where to play, who to reach, how to win.

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Objective | The full outcome the mission pursues, and what proves it |
| Situation | The ground the mission started from — what was known, shipped, and in the way on day one |
| Where | The channels the mission runs on |
| Who | The exact audience — narrowed from your targeting and customers tenets |
| How | The pillars, cadence, and plays the mission works |
| Rules | Guardrails every task must follow (e.g., nothing publishes without approval) |
| Out of scope | What the mission deliberately doesn't touch |

## 2. Plan — Agent plans daily work

The Agent turns your mission into a plan for the day — a clear goal and the exact tasks to get there — research, analysis, strategy, new copy. Approve or iterate in a click.

### 2.1 Daily plans

Every day, the Agent turns your mission into a concrete plan: a win condition for the day and the ordered tasks to reach it, each with a rationale. Steer it in plain language — add a task, change the angle, push harder — and the Agent rebuilds it. Approve in a click, and the proposals become real tasks.

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Win condition | The one outcome that defines a successful day, tied to a target |
| Tasks | The ordered work that hits the win, each with a rationale |
| Rationale | Why each task matters now — tied to the mission or fresh signal |
| Linked update | The morning mission update the plan is built from (see 5.3) |
| Steer | Type what to add, change, or push harder on — the Agent revises the plan |
| Approval | Approve to turn the moves into tasks, or reject to re-plan |
| Status | Proposed → active → done |

### 2.2 Tasks

A task is a brief for the Agent — a single job to do, with everything it needs to produce the output. It's also the shell that keeps the work manageable: a status, a history, and the deliverables it produced, all in one place.

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Prompt | The brief — what to produce, plus the context the Agent needs |
| Label | The type of job — research, strategy, content, growth, sales, ops |
| Mission | The mission the task advances |
| Day plan | The daily plan it belongs to (see 2.1) |
| Status | Where it stands — planned, running, done, failed |
| Run | The execution record: steps, tools, and outcome (see 3.2) |
| Outputs | The deliverables it produces (see 4.1) |

## 3. Execute — Agent completes work autonomously

No prompt to write, no context to load, no enter to press. The Agent picks up each task and runs it. On schedule, in the background, while you do other things.

### 3.1 Self-assembling context

Before the Agent produces anything, it assembles its own context — pulling the knowledge, references, and prior work relevant to the task. No prompt to write, no files to attach: it decides what it needs and loads it at run time.

**Knowledge base.** The company brain the Agent draws on — you build it once, and it stays sharp as the Agent learns (see 6.2).

| Source | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| Tenets | Your fixed company truths — positioning, voice, targeting, product, customers, market |
| Skills | Reusable craft guides for specific deliverables — cold emails, case studies, posts |
| Rules | Non-negotiable instructions every task must follow |
| Files | Documents, PDFs, and references you've uploaded |
| Similar work | Patterns from related tasks across your workspace |

How it works: relevant knowledge is declared when a task is planned and force-loaded when it runs — so the Agent starts every task with full context, not a blank slate.

### 3.2 Background runs

Every task runs as a background job — the Agent picks it up, executes it start to finish, and records the result. Runs fire on schedule or on demand, unattended, so work gets done whether or not you're watching.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Trigger | On a schedule, on task creation, or on demand |
| Execution | The Agent runs the task end to end, unattended |
| Record | Each run logs its steps, tools used, and outcome |
| Status | Queued → running → done / failed |
| Cost & usage | Tokens and time tracked per run |
| Failure handling | Failures surface on the run; nothing is silently dropped |

### 3.3 Agent tools

The Agent works with a full toolset — it searches your workspace, reads files, browses the web, drafts and edits documents, updates statuses, and asks when something's genuinely unclear. The same tools a capable operator would reach for.

| Capability | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Search | Finds relevant missions, tasks, docs, and insights across your workspace |
| Read files | Opens attached documents, PDFs, and references |
| Web | Searches and fetches live information from the web |
| Produce | Creates and edits outputs and artifacts |
| Manage | Creates tasks, updates statuses, links missions |
| Ask | Requests input when something can't be inferred (see 5.2) |
| Knowledge | Proposes updates to tenets, rules, and skills (see 6.2) |

## 4. Distribute — Agent ships finished outputs

Each deliverable is built for where it ships. A LinkedIn post, a per-account sequence, a newsletter issue. Queued for distribution in one click. You keep the last call.

### 4.1 Outputs

An Output is what a task produces — a LinkedIn post, an email sequence, a research brief. It's an editable document holding the shippable pieces inline: the body is your framing and notes, and the artifacts embedded in it are what actually ships (see 4.2).

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Body | Editable text — your framing and notes; never ships on its own |
| Artifacts | The shippable pieces embedded in the body (see 4.2) |
| Surface | Where it's headed — LinkedIn, blog, newsletter, email… |
| Kind | The format for that surface — post, thread, article, email, ad, page, comment, message |
| Status | Draft → in queue → published → closed |
| Task | The task that produced it |
| Share | A public link for review |

### 4.2 Artifacts

Artifacts are the shippable pieces the Agent produces — a post's body, an image, a PDF, a CSV. Any file. Text artifacts are editable in place; the rule is simple: every piece that lands on a surface is an artifact.

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Type | Any file — text, image, PDF, HTML, CSV… |
| Editable | Text artifacts edit in place; the Agent regenerates binary ones |
| Live object | One artifact, embeddable in any number of outputs — edit once, it updates everywhere |
| Backing | Each is a real file, streamed on demand |
| Shippable | The rule — everything that lands on a surface is an artifact |

### 4.3 AI editor

The editor is where outputs are refined — an editable document with each shippable artifact as its own block. Edit any line yourself, or tell the Agent what to change and it rewrites the piece in place.

| Capability | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| Inline editing | Edit the text and text artifacts directly |
| Agent editing | Ask the Agent to revise; it rewrites the artifact in place |
| Artifact blocks | Each shippable piece renders as its own editable block |
| Binary pieces | Images and files preview inline; the Agent regenerates them on request |

### 4.4 Queue

The queue is where finished, publishable outputs wait for your call. Each shows exactly as it will land on its surface — review, then publish where a connector exists, or copy and mark it shipped after posting manually.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| What appears | Any output the Agent marks ready to publish |
| Preview | The output rendered as it will land on its surface |
| Publish | Approve to ship where a connector exists |
| Manual ship | Otherwise copy or download the pieces, then mark shipped |
| Dismiss | Close an output you don't want to ship |
| Last call | Nothing publishes without your approval |

## 5. Monitor — Agent watches your world

Every day, the Agent scans connected tools and extracts everything relevant to your missions — leads, mentions, replies, competitor moves. So you don't have to.

### 5.1 Insights

Insights are fresh, mission-relevant signals — a prospect quote, a competitor's move, a new lead. Each is tied to the mission it bears on, so every plan is grounded in what's actually happening.

**Auto-extraction.** The Agent captures signal for you — no manual logging.

| Aspect | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Sources | Your connected tools and the web |
| Cadence | Scanned automatically, on a schedule |
| Labeling | Each insight tied to the mission it bears on |
| Centralized | All your signal in one place |

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Content | A single concrete development, in one line |
| Evidence | The source quote or link it came from |
| Mission | The mission(s) it bears on |
| Captured | When it was logged |

### 5.2 Insight requests

When the Agent needs something only you can see — replies, calls, offline outcomes — it asks a specific question and logs your one-line answer as signal. It's how the loop stays grounded where no integration reaches.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Trigger | Fired when the Agent can't sense an outcome itself |
| Question | Specific and answerable in one line |
| Answer | Your reply becomes an insight (see 5.1) |
| Timing | Batched, so you're asked rarely, not constantly |

### 5.3 Mission updates

Each morning the Agent scores every active mission — pace against targets, the current situation, and the bottleneck to break. The update is the readout the day's plan is built from.

| Property | Function |
| --- | --- |
| Situation | Where the mission stands right now |
| Pace | Progress against each target (e.g., 3/12 posts) |
| Health | On track / at risk |
| Bottleneck | The single thing blocking progress |
| Feeds | The day's plan reads from it (see 2.1) |

## 6. Iterate — Agent sharpens up and runs again

Every result feeds the next plan — stale moves get dropped, what works gets amplified. Knowledge updates land in your inbox, and the loop starts again sharper.

### 6.1 Daily re-plan

The plan is never fixed. Every morning the Agent rebuilds it from what actually happened, so each day's plan comes back sharper than the last.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Trigger | Fires every morning, on a schedule |
| Inputs | The latest mission update (see 5.3) and new insights |
| Adaptation | Drops stale tasks, amplifies what's working |
| Output | A fresh daily plan (see 2.1) |
| Continuity | Runs unprompted, day after day |

### 6.2 Knowledge updates

When something proves durable — a hook that keeps winning, a message that lands — the Agent proposes baking it into your knowledge.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Proposes | Edits to tenets, rules, or skills |
| Trigger | A pattern proven across the work |
| Approval | One click to accept; gated, never silent |
| Effect | Applied to all future context (see 3.1) |

### 6.3 Action proposals

When the Agent spots an opening it wasn't asked about — a competitor's move, a timely thread, a new angle — it proposes a next action.

| Behavior | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Trigger | An opportunity surfaced from signal |
| Content | A ready-to-run prompt for a specific move |
| Launch | One click turns it into a task (see 2.2) |
| Dismiss | Ignore the ones you don't want |

### 6.4 Weekly reports

Once a week, the Agent rolls up the whole portfolio — a step back from the daily loop.

| Section | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Coverage | Every active mission |
| Movement | What progressed and what didn't |
| Targets | Where each mission stands against its targets |
| Cadence | Delivered weekly, automatically |

## Featured missions. Ongoing motions and time-based campaigns. Scope once. Run autonomously.

Each mission below is a worked example of an outcome you would hand Questo: what the Agent runs on its own, and what it is measured against.

### Ship a founder POV post every week

_Thought leadership_

A weekly point-of-view post under the founder's name — the argument only they can make. The Agent finds the angle in what you already believe and what the market is saying that week, drafts it in your voice, and holds the cadence whether or not anyone remembers it's Tuesday.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 1 post a week, 12 weeks running | Reads the week's market signal and your positioning tenets for an angle worth arguing |
| 3 pillars in rotation | Drafts the post in your voice, then rewrites against the last one so the pillars rotate |
| Every post approved before it ships | Sends it for approval, publishes on schedule, and replies to the thread it starts |
| Engagement up quarter on quarter | Reports which arguments landed and feeds the winners back into the playbook |

### Rank for “GTM automation” by Q3

_Search visibility_

One term, owned end to end. The Agent maps what already ranks, finds the gap your product can honestly fill, and works the cluster — page by page, link by link — until the term belongs to you.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| Page one by end of Q3 | Maps the SERP and the cluster around it, and scores each page you'd need |
| 8 pages live | Briefs and drafts the pages, newest intent first |
| Nothing older than 90 days | Refreshes pages that slip, and rewrites the ones that never moved |
| Top 3 held for a full quarter | Tracks position weekly and flags when a competitor takes the top spot |

### Turn the newsletter into 50 trials

_Newsletter_

The list is already yours — this mission makes it convert. The Agent treats each send as a step toward a trial rather than a broadcast, and reads the click behaviour to decide what the next one has to be.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 4 segments, refreshed monthly | Segments the list by what each reader has actually opened and clicked |
| 1 issue a week | Writes each issue to one job the reader is trying to do, with one way in |
| 50 trials in the quarter | Runs the follow-up sequence for readers who clicked but never signed up |
| Click-to-trial rate up each month | Reports which issues drove trials and drops the formats that don't |

### Get known in three GTM Slack groups

_Communities_

Presence you can't buy, built by being useful in the rooms your buyers are already in. The Agent watches the threads worth answering and drafts the answer; you stay the one who posts it.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 3 groups covered daily | Watches the three groups for questions your experience actually answers |
| 5 replies a week, all approved by you | Drafts a reply that helps whether or not the reader ever buys |
| A themes digest every week | Keeps a running note of what people keep asking for |
| 2 posts a month sourced from threads | Feeds recurring questions back into content and the product tenets |

### Book 20 demos from cold outbound

_Outbound_

Outbound that reads like it was written by someone who looked. The Agent builds the list from your customers tenet, writes each opener from a real trigger, and keeps the sequence moving without you touching the CRM.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 200 accounts, refreshed monthly | Builds the target list from the accounts that look like your best customers |
| No two openers alike | Writes each first line from a trigger it can point to — a hire, a launch, a post |
| 4 steps, then out | Runs the follow-up steps and stops the moment someone replies |
| 20 demos booked | Reports reply quality, not just reply rate, and rewrites what's being ignored |

### Convert blog readers into signups

_Content leads_

The traffic already arrives; almost none of it converts. The Agent works the gap between reading and signing up — the offer at the end, the path from the post, the follow-up for readers who nearly did.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| Top 20 posts scored | Ranks every post by traffic against the signups it actually produces |
| 1 offer per post, no generic CTAs | Writes a specific next step for each post, matched to what that reader wanted |
| 2 tests running at all times | Tests placement and wording on the highest-traffic posts first |
| Blog-to-signup rate doubled | Reports conversion per post and rewrites the ones that read well but convert badly |

### Turn 10 happy users into advocates

_Referrals_

Your happiest users would vouch for you if anyone made it easy. The Agent spots them from real usage, times the ask for the moment right after something went well, and gives them something worth sharing.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 10 advocates identified | Finds the accounts whose usage says they're getting real value |
| Every ask tied to a specific win | Times the ask to a moment that just went well, never to a calendar date |
| Nothing written from scratch by them | Drafts what they'd share — the post, the intro, the quote — so they only approve it |
| 15 referred signups a quarter | Tracks what each referral turns into and thanks them when it lands |

### Publish five design-partner stories

_Proofs_

Five customers, five stories, told with numbers the reader can check. The Agent runs the whole chase — the questions, the drafts, the approvals — so the proof stops living only in your head.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 5 stories live | Picks the five partners whose results are specific enough to be worth reading |
| 1 story a fortnight | Prepares the interview questions and turns the answers into a draft |
| Every story approved in writing | Runs the approval loop with the customer's team until it's signed off |
| 4 assets per story | Cuts each story into the pieces sales and social can use |

### Land four podcast guest spots

_Borrowed audiences_

The fastest way to a new audience is someone else's. The Agent finds shows whose listeners are your buyers, pitches an angle their audience actually wants, and makes sure the appearance keeps working after it airs.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| 30 shows shortlisted | Shortlists shows by whether their listeners look like your buyers |
| 4 spots booked | Pitches each host an angle built for their audience, not your product |
| A brief before every recording | Preps the talking points and the stories worth telling on air |
| 3 assets per episode | Turns each episode into clips, a post, and a newsletter mention when it airs |

### Lift homepage signup rate by 30%

_Web conversion_

The homepage is where the most expensive traffic lands and the most of it leaves. The Agent works it as a standing experiment — one clear hypothesis at a time, measured properly, kept only when it wins.

| Target | What Agent runs |
| --- | --- |
| A baseline you can argue with | Reads where visitors drop, and what the ones who convert did differently |
| 1 test live at a time | Rewrites the headline and the offer against the positioning tenet |
| 2 weeks minimum per test | Runs each test to a real result instead of calling it early |
| Signup rate up 30% | Keeps what wins, reverts what doesn't, and writes down why |
