Slack and integrations¶

Connecting a tool does two things: it gives the agent material to read, and it gives Questo somewhere to reach you that is not Questo.

What a connection does¶

Connecting a tool creates an extraction routine for it. Once a day it reads that tool, looks for anything bearing on your active missions, and captures what it finds as insights. Those insights are what tomorrow's mission update and day plan are built from.

This is the quiet payoff of integrations, and it is easy to miss because nothing announces it. A decision made in a Slack thread on Tuesday shows up as context in Wednesday's plan, without anyone writing it down.

Disconnecting a tool removes its extraction routine. The insights it already captured stay: they are yours now, not the integration's.

Slack is three separate connections¶

Questo connects to Slack through three independent apps. Connecting one does not connect the others, and there is no single "connect Slack" that does everything.

This trips people up often enough to be worth stating flatly: if you connected Slack and something Slack-related is not working, check whether you connected the app that does it.

Insights¶

Read-only. It reads the conversations you give it access to and feeds them to the extraction routine, so that what your team already discussed in Slack becomes context the agent can use.

It does not post anything, ever.

Inbox¶

Sends your inbox cards to you as Slack direct messages, so you can act on them without opening Questo.

You choose which kinds of card get sent. If you only want to hear about deliverables waiting to be published, and not about every daily plan, that is a setting rather than an all-or-nothing switch.

Agent¶

Two capabilities in one app:

• Mention @Questo in a channel and the agent answers there, with your workspace's full context behind it.
• Ship published outputs into a channel, so a finished deliverable lands where your team already is instead of behind a link.

Workspaces¶

A connection belongs to a Slack workspace, not to a person. If your organisation is in more than one Slack workspace, each one is connected separately.

A colleague connecting the same app to the same workspace is not connecting it again; they are joining what is already there.
