Credits and billing

Agent work in Questo is paid for with credits. Your workspace has one shared balance, and every member draws from it.

What uses credits

Every agent run uses credits: chats, task runs, routines, Slack replies and publish runs. How many depends on how much work the run does. Deeper model tiers and higher effort settings use more. Web search and image generation are billed through credits too.

Reading and editing in Questo yourself costs nothing.

Buying credits

A new workspace starts with a balance to try Questo with. When you need more, buy a one-off pack in Settings > Billing:

Pack Price
20,000 credits $20
110,000 credits $100
240,000 credits $200

Packs are also sold in euros. Before your first purchase, fill in Billing details: who invoices are issued to. Your country and VAT ID decide the VAT on the invoice, and an EU VAT ID is checked against the EU VAT register. An invoice is emailed for every purchase.

Purchased credits expire one year after purchase, and usage spends the oldest credits first. Purchased packs on the Billing page shows each pack, who bought it, what is left of it and when it expires. Your starting balance does not expire.

Automatic reload, which tops up credits when your balance runs low, is coming soon.

Running low and running out

When your balance gets low, a Low credits notice appears next to the chat message box, showing how much you have used. You can hide it.

When the workspace runs out:

  • a strip at the top of the inbox says so, with Buy credits, and every member gets an email;
  • chats, Run now and scheduled work stop, and scheduled runs show Skipped - out of credits;
  • once credits are added, the skipped work runs again.

Seeing where credits went

Settings > Usage shows credits used by day, week or month and by member. Settings > Runs lists every run, so you can open the one that used more than you expected and see what it did.
